Junior entry or Standard entry ?

Post by royals »

Some are saying you do Pull-ups, sit-ups and puss-ups during the 2-day selection at ADSC which i know is right. Reading through some answers , it seemed the Junior entry mates are miss leading standard entry folks .....junior entry , please , let us know your entry level when contributing to answers . My recruiter told me: puss-ups (2min), sit-ups (2min) and pull -ups best effort , e.t.c.

I dont know where you have got this info from , on selection you dont do press ups , situps .
you do heaves , 1.5 mile run , jerry can , stactic lift , test if your back is stong enough and have to lift about 40kg up to head height.
You recruiter may have told you to do press ups and sit ups just to get you a bit more fit as they are basic excircises.

you do in basic training, plus pressups are good all round upper body training. People who go "Oh I wont need to do them so I will ignore them" will struggle more when they go into basic.
application form : done
BARB test : passed 82
Medical : Broke my wrist so 12 months wait before reapply.

My recruitment Sgt told me that you do Heaves only which is best effort.

But advised to practice sit ups/push ups as well as yes it will prepare for Phase 1 and general upper body strength.

I passed my final yesterday & the Officer also said the same thing.
