my son 18 has recently been dismissed from the batallian for untolerable behaviour,now realises what he has lost and wishes to make amends.too late unfortunatly.does anyone know if he can appeal and be given a second chance to redeem himself .thanks colin

was he in acoy 3 para by any chance i wont put the lads name for obvious reasons

I had my wings at 18 so that is not unusual, aggression is fine but it must be controlled. If he is throwing punches every time his teddy falls out the pram then it is only going to be a matter of time before he lands in trouble big time. He had been warned as you say on a number of occasions, and probably spent time on Jankers over it. So after all that why did he not heed what he was being told. It would appear from the Regiment that he is out of control so they have dropped him as the easy option. The other thing that could happen is that he gives a civvy a good hiding one day and either kills him or seriously injures him, then like you his defense will be that this is how the Paras have trained him to behave, and they will be blamed for not taking action to control him.

if its the lad im thinkin of i honestly think he got more chance of seeing god than getting back in mainly because the regiment is up to 99% manning now and theyre just kicking everyone out for small things as they dont think they need to keep dramas in when theyve got potentially good well behaved recruits coming from depot plus the lad im thinking of had alot more than his fair share of warnings

Tell your son to join the french foreign legion any nationality can join and they have a parachute regiment. Heres the link
