Im due to start phase one training at ATR pirbright in november and my girlfriend is pregnant with a jan due date, Can anyone tell me about compassionate leave, Also i know its a daft question but does training go through xmas or is there leave for that?

Yes you may get a month off but you need to be aware of all the training you are going to miss whilst away.
The only solution will be back squadding.
You now have to balance your personal life with your Army life, get used to it.
I personally would opt for taking two days off then get back to it. harsh I know but I have been in your situation.

I remember my granddad was murdered. To be fair it was not training but at battalion up North.
Anyway the CSM says sorry ****** but these things happen. The shi*.
No leave nothing. So I go back to my room start packing and let the section commander know I am going home and they can do what they want when I return
Anyway about 3 hours later I got a message to report for my transport docs. Never knew what was said and it could have just been a change of heart by the CSM.
