Okay so I've got my aptitude test coming up in July and I’m not completely decided on what trade I’m going in to yet. What I really want to do is PTI but I am not too sure if I will be able to qualify for it.
The fitness is not a problem and I'll have it back up to scratch in no time. I’ve been in Thailand for the past two months so my fitness is at an all time low but just did a 1.5 mile run for the first time and still got 10mins 27secs.
The only problem I feel I may have is that the only sport I have done extremely well in is karate, I’ve been a black belt since 14, now 20, have competed internationally and taken first place with my team in the British champs. I know a lot of other candidates will have done a lot more than that and am just wondering if its still worth me trying out for PTI, or if what I have is just not enough?

Becoming a PTI
Hi there.
I have currently been in the process of getting my application through for PTI. I was called 3 days ago to inform me that I had passed my Health Check and will be going to do my 3 day "test/interview" thing. I have been in the process of this application for some time now and if you have any questions PM me. Oh one more thing the Corporal on the phone from the other day said to me that they have closed recruitment for PTI's as they have no spaces left or training courses. So I would call your local AFCO before you make up your mind to try become a PTI.
