Yes mate I've been training like an animal, I've been training for the last 3 years anyway though. There was a lad who wasn't ready for selection so they pulled him off and put me in his place.

BARB - Passed.
Basic Skills - Passed.
Written Medical - Cleared.
Interview - Passed.
ADSC - 19/05/09 - Passed.
Chosen Man - 08/06/09.

ITC Catterick - 23rd August.

Chosen Regiment - The Rifles.

hey i want to go in rifles too mate i go selection in 5 weeks do you know what the time run is for it cheers mate

At ADSC officially its 12:45 but you want be getting 10:30.
Application - Done.

Officially you would pass the run but you are graded over the whole 2 days and that grade determines how quickly you will start basic. If your run time is just scraping in then it might not get you such a good grade as if it would if you clocked 10:00-10:30.

The Rifles are a great Regiment with plenty of history. All the Infantry Regiments have really shown their worth once they have been given the opportunity.

Not everyone wants to join the Para’s, no more than others want to the drive a tank or be an engineer. All the best.
