transfer from infantry to rlc

any info on a transfer from infantry to rlc.

i am in the infantry, have been for 14 years, i have been waiting for promotion for last 4 years to sgt, but just got told was not qualified because i hadn't done junior clm, but am qualified upto snco clm part 2.

so what i want to know should i jump ship and transfer to a corps as i am getting A. too old for the infantry 34. and B. would it better my career, i am at a depot now and am qualified in first aid, nbc, drill, skill at arms and SA (b)90 i could happily work for a training wing somewhere, but want to make sure i would be an asset to the corps and also the corps would promote me.
