After numerous books like this were written the MOD have changed all the rules about book writing for those who are SF or support SF, basically you can't and sign numerous docs agreeing to it.

Peter Ratcliffes Eye of The Storm gives a pretty good explanation of Mcnabs and Ryans books and what actually probably happened (and didnt).

Plus its a brilliant read and the guy is a legend.

a couple of books I enjoyed some years ago were: Chickenhawk and The Devils Guard.

They're a good read if you can get hold of them.

Cheers

I have read the "Devil's Guard" more than once. It certainly had a flavour of Sven Hassel about it. Very entertaining.

Another good Vietnam fiction story is "The Five Fingers" by Gayle Rivers.

I was a little disappointed that he did not investigate Ryan's escape and evasion while he was there, though I understand he did not want to go down that road.
