Mate you asked a question and got a respone. What more do you want? I'm pretty sure that someone in the Para Reg would know a bit about what is being talked about!
Can't really see some SAS trooper cutting around with another regiment's insignia to disguise the fact he was in the Regiment, or just not bothering to take off and old DZ flash or wings. They are switched on blokes, the best in the world mate!
From what it sounds like, the red patches (DZ Flashes) are what 1 Para wear, which are part of the SFSG, so that's the blokes you would have seen. As Airborne Legend said, they normally don't wear any insignia (him knowing what he is on about, as i'm sure he knows some blokes in 1 Para) but on a local exercise they might. End of story really.

Re: ....
There are a few people on here who have been, or have to wait a while to get to where they want to be, myself included. Gobbing off is not really the answer. There are loads of people on here who can help and offer advice, if you ask nicely!lewkey wrote:Im just moody cause i cant do shit all about joining the para's or at least trying yet as im unfit and have to wait 2 years due ti health issues.

suffered from depression/panic attacks for 2 years, came off my medication and been perfectly normal and in fit health since febuary 2008,, recruiter told me i wont be considered till its been 4 years clear of medication ect.. so that really pisses me off, im fine now and fit, jsut need to up my fittness levels phisically a litte due to doing nothing but appart from that im fine :s
well see it as a point in time to get yourself supremely fit. i was due to join regulars then got injured. the injury was a nasty niggly one which seemed to get better then broke down and set me back. it lasted like this on and off for near year and half. finally got into regulars when near end of training had eye injury which meant i had to leave, sods law! just get yeah head sorted and make fitness your life, two years is naff all especially if your young and have time on your side.if anything it will give you life experience and add a bit more maturity to you.

Lewkey, seems you've already found plenty of hoofing phots
Seriously mate, I can sympathise with your situation, but learn to walk before you can run, check what people actually do (profile or location helps) before you gob off (there are plenty on here who have been there and done it and *probably* know what they're on about). Otherwise, all the best with your aspirations.
