Aye, I'm a bit nervous now but well up for it! Adam what route you taking to get there? Few of us on here and facebook have been talking it over so lads that're coming the same direction can look out for eachother en route.

Cheers bud! I'm thinking of putting a detailled diary up when I get back going through each day. Might be useful for folk, especially as this will be the new style rougher tougher course (according to the flying rumours and hype, at least!)

That would be great mate, just to brief over what (if anything) has changed from the criteria that we've been told already.

Are you lads going to Honington or Barnham??

We're staying at Barnham according to the letter and having transport to take us to Honington for the tests, etc.

Unless you have been told by your AFCO that the pass standards have changed then I'm sure will be the same. I posted that some parts of the PGAC were being changed having been told by the Corporal in charge of the one I did last month but I guess it will take a while to filter through so that applicants get plenty of time to prepare. Like I said in the post I put up a few weeks ago though you do need to be able to do more than the minimum standards required in order to get a place on the next available TG course as the Reg has a recuriting backlog at the mo. Good luck bud I hope it goes well for you.

Well I'm back....

And I bloody failed!

Got through everything, bleep test, pressups, situps, skirmish (battle PT), 3 miler, and then buggered my ankle up on the assault course! Told by the staff I'd have passed if it weren't for that bad luck, so I can come back as soon as I feel ready. Calling my AFCO tomorrow to arrange it!
Well done lads that passed, nice effort! I'll stick up a proper diary later as a new post.

No it's not too bad really, I can walk fine on it etc. I just didn't think it would hold up too well to the rest of the assault course if I tried to carry on and didn't want to risk doing long term damage. So not the end of the world, I just hope it's not ages before I can get another date.
