no mate it was very brief and only took five minutes of proding and poking plus a few questions on your health, unless you have a i injury you really have nothing to worry about.

sorry j.fazza i wans't very clear on that they only measure you feet and give your boots on the course, then you have to give them back at the end, you don't keep them for breaking in.

Basically the medical at Pre-Para was just to check whether your body was up to the challenge of the next few days?

not yet mate, i called my ACIO and they said the paras down in catterick hadn't even told them i passed the course  and that was almost a week ago! i'll just have to wait till they sought all this out.

Oh and by the way you might still have to do the course, several of the guys on my course already had their dates, one was only two weeks away but they still sent him along, so just be prepared in case they do decide to send you mate

cheers mate. Bit of a joke that they hadn't told your ACIO. Let us know when you get a date mate.

Alright paraprep1, great review just wanted to know how many press ups/sit ups you achieved in two minutes in the test and how much time did they give you to rest between each assessment or did they immediately follow each other?

Cheers for the review :D

i got 49 for my pressups (not my strongest trait) and i got 82 situps, theres no rest other than taking turns with your partner who counts your reps when your doing the excersise, then it was straight into the run after that.
hope that helps mate.

Are the tests pass or fail events, say if you failed one test but passed the rest would you still be able to proceed with Para training also what kind of questions did they ask you in the interview? :-?

Quality review mate. Really helped. I got My ADSC on the 14th of may.

Looking forward to it, i haven't checked my 1.5m yet though which is bad, but i done it a year ago at bassingbourne and got 9.05 and i feel fitter now. I cant even check my press ups as im carrying a shoulder injury at the moment which i got from pushing to far in the gym but i hope it clears up in a few days so i can check.

Thanks for the review again cleared lots up. :soldier_thumbs_up: :soldier_apc2:

Although im not certain, im sure as long as you get 'respectable' scores on everything and are seen giving 100% in all the tests you will do fine, one lad who beat me in the steeple chase was considered as a fail on the course because he momentarily stopped running for a few seconds, but he passed in the end, just make sure you put everything in you have to give and you'll be fine, theres no reason realistically why anyone should fail since they have all passed the ADSC requirements before this selection anyway.

Another thing (sorry about all the questions) were they strict on how press ups and sit ups are performed, did your elbows have to be tight to your sides when doing press ups and did your arms have to be crossed across your chest when performing sit ups, the marines have a PRMC which is apparently equally as gruelling and tough and they are apparently really particular on how press ups and sit ups should be performed
Cheers for all the previous posts they’ve cleared up a lot of bullshit
:D
