Well done mate! What was the selection like anyway? Going for the regulars myself but interested to know. Also might help other people who are thinking of joining?

hi mate

Selection was ok. It waasnt just the paras up there it was all other battalions. We had to do everything to a higher standard though. All you have to do is perform to your best ability and show them that you are determined to suceed. Its tough but if you want it, you'll get it!

I'm guessing it was an RSW you went on, your correct that if you wish to airborne then you have to obtain higher standards the other units there. When I say airborne I don't just mean 4 Para, when I did the RSW I had to attain higher standards than other potential recruits due to my unit being an airborne unit.

Basically I had 9.30 to do a pft 1.5mile run in, I'm more than addament you would of had to achieve the same standard oh and you had to do 10 pull ups.

Hope this helps. Cheers Kieran
