hey guys, new to this forum and was wondering do you find that many people join with a levels or even degrees as a soldier? thanks

That information is not genrally avaible for the like of us. There again it depends what job or grade you are looking for in the Forces as these things are must in certain jobs

ok mate i was talking about the paras anyway, i meant are there any people who have applied or are in training who have a levels or degrees ?

Of course there are mate, I'm just not one of them. But there are loads of guys who apply and have a levels or degrees, I'm sure theres a few on this forum.

Yes there are plenty of guys joining with A levels and degrees
Have just had a guy join who had 4 a levels and a degree in Politics and he has joined as a Rifleman

He wants to go through the ranks.
Lots of people when in, do A Levels and Degrees

Hi liam91, welcome to Military Forums. 8)
I'm in RM training, lots of lads have A-levels, degrees, NVQs etc...
By no means the majority but far from rare.

I was in training with a guy who left the same time as i did, his letter to the sgt read something like 'i feel i could make more use of my qualifications'
Even though he got a severe 'talking to' :wink: from the nco's, He's back there now.

He had a fair few A levels from what i remember, don't know if it helps at all.

When I was at school there was no such thing as A Levels or GSE
