All matter of opinion. Obviously if they do put that gear into service I would not refuse to wear it or anything stupid like that just don't think it looks professional enough.

Oh yeah lucky stuff, mines above 9 hours.. when I was going to go VIA Waterloo it would have been....15, because a train I'm supposed to catch when I'm there left as soon as I arrived and it was a 3 - 4 hour wait crazy, no I'm going Via Bristol. mind you I would wait any amount of time.

And for the record Ghost Recon is quite fun.

If it reduces weight allowing better performance, yeah why not have it.. if it's as good as the hype no doubt I'd have a problem with it. the helmet leaves the back of the neck a bit bare thou, as for it looking like a septic tanks cap, Doesn't put me off it, seems to do the job. You?

well i see what yu mean about the helmet but i do think it looks pretty cool :)

over all i agree the weight reduction will aid troops ability to last longer also help the effectieveness in the battel field.. move quicker ect..

and i also thing the new colours are pretty sweet. looking forward to trying it all :)

Yeah, to be honest any things better than the flimsy pouches I used to use at cadets. had to spend ages fu*king around trying to get a magazine back in without looking.

Yeah we are just having a bit of friendly banter arn't we :) should happen more in this place. I think the other parts look good but not a fan of the helmet and goggles/glasses :-? but the rest of the armour etc looks good. I do like what is used at the minute to be honest. I am not serving at the minute mate i'm waiting for my college course to finish before I start my application off, I am torn between choices at the minute after 2 years of knowing 100% what I wanted to go in then the ACIO officer confused me more hahaha.

oo rite lol well i can reccomend the army 100% aswell as most others would.. they been great throughtout my whole 16 months it took to join (i had a knee injury which they deffered me for :() but i grown up the military way of life.

and yes friendly banter sounds about right.. but one point i agree on yu with is the goggles.. what they doing? bring back elements of world war 2? lol as for the helmet its more practical as it gives full range of movement withing the neck with out bashing yourself lol!

all and all the pro weigh out the cons in my mind :) its good to hear what other people have to say :D

Yeah i'm definitly going Infantry but I have got to choose either the Paras which I have been training for about 2 years or the Mercian Regiment (My local regiment) which I also hold a love for so got to get thinking lol. I also have been brought up with most of my family being in the Army, RAF and Navy so goes down well lol.

I am with you on the googles point and the helmets practicality.
