I know aptitude tests are there to test your natural abiliies, but is there any areas i could practise on or revise? Or are there any books or websites that could help?. I am already practising speed distance time questions and reading up on current affairs and RAF topics till my eyes bleed but any more advise you could give me would be great.

Hi i was OASC in early December, keep doing the Speed, Time and Distance stuff they play a huge part of the OASC program not just the app tests but the planning too, keep doing them until you dont really need to think about how to do each calculation.
For the App tests I personally got the 'How to become' help cd (google it) it gives some good examples of the slightly more abstract tests, also a book called 'Military Flight Apptitude Tests' is good, its American but still very relevent. Another good tool is a Nintendo DS with Brain Training or if you dont want to shell out a wad have a look for free online Brain Training games, some good ones on Facebook where you can challange friends.
A few tips for the tests are; be really relaxed and treat the test as a game that your awesome at, so have confidence, also do not try and score or judge yourself, i did at the time and was sure i'd be on the next train home, but passed
.
Be confident, be yourself and good luck!

I found searching Google for "Speed, Distance, Time" helped.
There is an actual site dedicated to these problems with a good selection of sample questions that are timed.
Once you have done the test a few times it comes together and you find yourself getting quicker.
It's just a case of getting your brain in to learn mode!!
