insight courses?

Post by Englishman88 »

I have just been on the phone with my recruiting sergeant talking about insight courses, he told me I can go on one with pwrr 1st battalion which is in Germany, but I don't have a passport so I can't go. I then asked him if there are any others I can go on and he said no they only deal within their local area.

Does anyone know if this is true?

If so does that meen if I wanted to do an insight course with the rifles for example would I have to set this up myself?

Thank you for taking your time and reading this post.

Do you not need a valid passport any more to start training?

Hmm, I dont believe you do as i believe your issued with one, one lad i was speaking to his recruiting officer said don't bother getting one.

i know they need birth certificate and NI card now I took my passport to my recruitment office but he didn't look at it,

Only place i needed it was in my initial booklet where it asks details and reference etc

I think there all different depending on with Regt, or Corps your joining. When I went on the Paras insight course we did: bleep test, 1.5 mile run, max pressups situps and pullups, assault course, weapons, kit and training information, and a log race. How much of this he'll do on an insight course for the Royal Regiment of Scotland I don't know. Hope this helps abit.
Don't pull face's, it means nothing to me I can't feel a thing. You must drive forward.

There seems to be an echo in here.
What does your son want.RM Bandsman or Army?
I know he's only fifteen but he needs to make his mind up.
Oh and btw, enough with the txt.spk.M8.
