ADSC monday anyone?

Post by Richard »

Hi just wondering if anyone is going on this day? im leaving from Manchester..
Im just worried about the Lifting i gotta do, i do have a good upper body, but have Never lifted more then 60kg never mind 116kg, if i dont get the requirments for the 1.5 mile run thats the only thing i think i will struggle with.

Is it true you dont need to do the pressups at ADSC?
How is the 1.5 mile run? is it laps or is it just there and back?

Any help would be great..
Thx Rick.

Where are you going for ADSC?
The 116kg you are talking about is not essential, it just allows Para hopefulls a runtime extenstion. It is in dead-lift form and not really very hard at all.

Im doing my ADSC in Glencorse,
The way i lift my weights is on a bench. Only can mannage 60kg 10x10
do you think that way is harder then a deadlift.
Its only 1 i have to be able to do right?

I'm not sure what you mean by that (my bold). If you mean how many times you do it I'm fairly sure you get one practice and then 2 real gos at each excercise (except for heaves of course).
I wouldn't worry about it at all to be honest.[/b]

You don't do reps, the excercise is done like so:
-Bar attached to scales. You stand over it and then when the PTI say to, you lift it like a deadlift, using all of your strength. It then measures how much you can lift, easy.
