Cross country

Post by pedro »

Today I took part in a cross country race. It was just over 6 miles long and I did it in 46 minutes. The course was very hilly and there were people around me dropping out all the time!
I am 15 years old and not particularly strong, but my stamina is decent.

Is this an OK time? I am not fishing for compliments, if it's poor please do say so, but the reason I am asking is that one day I hope to join the Parachute Regiment.

Many thanks

No I didn't walk at all, but I did stay with a slightly slower runner for the first lap (team tactics bullshit) but I think that only would have slowed me down by about half a minute.

I was just looking for comparisons, that's all.
Thanks for the reply anyway

If that was miles and not km then that is quite good going.

yes very good time. (now take your time and SOD RIGHT OFF) from a very disgruntled OLD barsteward whose best time recently , over same distance/cross country, was ...... 54 minutes. ;o)

Thats a decent time mate, but you can always do better :o :D

As mentioned by others you yourself will know if it was a good time within yourself as only you will know if you gave 100 percent or if you slacked.#

Good effort anyway, keep it up!

I get the impression you are of the japanese racing snake variety though, get some press ups done! Then some more and some more and so on.

If you are aiming to do 20 a night why not try 3 sets of 10 with 30 seconds rest between each set, then up the reps in each set as you get stronger? This way you do more than 20 a night.
