Para jumps?

Post by toneuncagefire »

Anyone know how many jumps you are likely to get, per year, with 4 para? Also is the return of service 3 years or 4?

8 in the 4 weeks at brize norton (it may even be 7 in 2 weeks for t.a),
then probably none unless you put in for it.

You have to keep up to date with jumps if you want 'para pay' which is just under a fiver a day!

I don't know figures, but one of the Sgt's on the 4 PARA insight weekend said they often jumped more than the regulars! I would assume that means "lots".

The number of jumps will be controlled by what aircraft are available, whether you are on active service or training to go on active service.

You'll probably find it hard to get a jumps course with 4 para. There were 250 people wanting to go on the 96 slots for this jumps course. The funniest part is that they had a plane booked and we were going to do 5 jumps over the weekend but then it got taken off us so they sent us home for an extra week off!!!
