Yeah and eat the right foods full of the stuff you need like Carbs For Running, Protein from Milk, Eggs, Cheese, Fish & Poultry, Grains including bread and pasta. Cut out the stuff like a Dominos on a friday and a can of coca cola everyday, drink water ( around 8 pints a day ), cut out the salt in your diet i think i read no more than 6g of salt a day? I have an army fitness book from my Local AFCO( You can get one there free ). It tells you about healthy eating;
To cut fat:
Drink skimmed milk
replace chips with baked potatoes
Eat lean meat and fewer burgers
Eat less crisps, pastries & pies.
To cut sugar;
Eat fruit instead of chocolate
Don't add sugar to your cereals
Avoid Fizzy drinks
Eat fewer ready made meals
To add fibre;
Choose wholegrain rice & pasta
Eat more veg and beans
Try high fibre cereals
Don't peel apples before eating them.
Just a few things from the book but check it out it has more.

I do all above except I still like my salt, we were brought up on it.
