Improving on run time

Post by HenryT98 »

Hi all,

I have a general question. I recently passed ADSC, so should know the answer to this, but TBH, I've been active all my life, so wouldn't know what to advise.

My brother has his ADSC in six weeks time. I've just taken him out for a timed 1.5 mile run on a track, and he came in at 10:10 min. He's hoping to join Royal Signals as an Installation Technician.

First, would this time pass him through ADSC?
Second, could he improve much on this running 4 miles daily for six weeks?

Thanks

Yeah i agree do not run everyday, would benefit much more from running 3 times a week and in the days in between bike or swim as well as having rest days. your body will only improve if it has time to repair.

I improve my time by running across the farmers fields with him chasing me with his spade
