Hi all,
A little history about me first...im 18 years old (2 months away from 19), i completed my A-levels a year ago..i am currently on my gap year working at my old college (the one i did my A-levels at) as a Chemistry Technician...
GCSE results= 5A's and 3 B's A Levels= B in computing, C in chemistry and D in biology. im currently working on my fitness and swimming (well, learning to).
Im on the verge of joining the RAF..not quite settled on my choice. I would like to join as a Medical Support Officer. i am avidly interested in medicine and anything medical excites me and i want to experience and be a part of it. Or...i am also interested in joining as a staff support nurse.
I am quite "scared", mostly terrified of going through the joining process of an Officer as i know and have read that it is quite daunting..i know friends who have been turned down for areas such as IT and Navigator etc..and it makes me wonder exactly how tough the Officer process will be. I have never really seen myself as a leader but its something i am prepared to work on earnestly.
Can anyone help? which would be the wiser choice? is it safer to join as a nurse, is it easier? or should i proceed with the Officer option so long as i prepare myself...Thanks
