TG Course Kit List

Hi all, I was checking out my kit list earlier and noticed it says 12 padlocks and keys are needed, does anyone know if that is correct and, if so what are they needed for?

That sounds wrong to me mate, there's no way you'd need a dozen padlocks.

I took 4 with me when I went to Catterick and that was ample.

AL P, I think 12 padlocks is right. I have been looking at the RAF Regt online as well and have found a group on Facebook, which says that the 12 padlocks are for all of your cupboards and lockers etc.

Bleedin' hell how many cupboards do you get in the RAF???

At Catterick you get a foot locker for personal stuff and a main locker for all your kit and depending what block you're in some get a bedside cabinet.

Alright chaps. I am currently on a TG course at the moment and you will need the 12 padlocks of a medium size. Firstly, you might start off in a block with only 3 lockers but it's handy to have spares if someone locks your keys in the locker and you have to bolt cut them off (not happened to me though). Secondly, if you get moved to Bremner block (gucci block) you have 12 lockers for your kit and believe me all will be full with kit. Hope this has helped.
