I passed my interview today, over the moon about it, as I was pretty nervous about it all.
But I noticed (as I was frantically searching for interview threads last night!) there is alot of them.
My advice would be don't worry too much about it, I did, but it's not that bad, just be yourself. Be totally honest, and make sure you know what is involved in training and the PRMC, and have some general Corps knowlege, and you'll be away!
All they do is make sure you're the right person for it, and make sure you know exactly what you're letting yourself in for! Most of all don't worry about it I would say!
I just thought I would share my experience because of how nervous I was!

interview done!
I have my interview in a couple of days. Would you be able to go in further detail? What kind of questions did they specifically ask regarding corps knowledge/history and personal questions?
I'm sure I'll do fine but like you I'm trying to find every thread or piece of information I possibly can
I just hope regarding the personal information I can get it across confidently and in the right words. I tend to stutter at times, especially when nervous and sometimes struggle to get my point across. In my head I can explain exactly why I want to join but it might come out a bit weaker. But I'm probably just paranoid.

Woody, on your stuttering, j-j-just slow down your speaking and it'll help you out in the interview, allowing you to speak clearly and subconsciously calming you down.
I was asked;
- what the 3 Cdo units were.
- what the contract involves. http://militaryforums.co.uk/forums/view ... t=contract
- why I would like to join.
- why I believe I'd fit in.
- what the etho's of the Commando's are.

Cheers for the advice about the contract, done my homework on it, and got asked a few questions on it today during the interview (pass).
I have the medical in 2 weeks, but i am slightly concerned about my blood pressure which i think last time read about 170/80, which my doc said was fine back in Jan. Does anyone know what it should be under/above to be passed as medically fit ? Also do your have to have another eye test during the medical even though you have passed the eyesight test at D&A ?
Cheers

The only sight related test I did on my medical was for colour blindness, where he shows you cards with coloured backgrounds and numbers on them. If you can read the number correctly you're OK. Other than that I don't think there's anything else. Tip for your medical - don't go out on the town the weekend before. The hearing test is solid if your ears are still ringing like mine wereAlso do your have to have another eye test during the medical even though you have passed the eyesight test at D&A ?
