When you mentioned that you suggested another career did you mean outside military life? :-? Having a blonde moment.

Yes, after 22 years service I'll still have over 20 years to work before retiring so I think it makes sense to have a second career ready anyway. For me I think this will be a solicitor, I am finishing my Law conversion course this year and after/during a career as an officer I will be applying for the Army/Navy Legal service to practice Military Law.

I had a Job offer for when I finish my studies, which would mean starting in 2009 (therefore not joining the military) and moving to London - which I don't really like the idea of but it was something to consider at the time as I thought it would have made relationship commitments easier, however when everything else is taken into consideration such as the standard of living, working hours and even the time spent with family wasn't any easier than in the forces...

[quote="MrC"]Flo has often given good advice on this type of topic (where is she now anyway?)

Flo has got her own sh*t to sort.

In her absence here are my words of wisdom....

You pass this way but once. If you can't support someone you profess to love in their endeavours then you should call it a day.

 Well my wife binned me (broke my heart), prefering to talk to other blokes on the internet, apparently she felt like a single mum, cheers for that! Something to bear in mind fellas, it's not easy and can be stressful and lonely for your Mrs at times, maybe I am just making excuses for her, who knows. Back to square one for this callsign.

I am not bitter and twisted, just threaders, I had been with the cow for ten years.

Women are put on this planet to hold back men, stop them from playing sports, making them feelin guilty and absolutely rinsing our bank accounts clean. I'm nineteen years old and have already learnt this life lesson. The solution to this problem however is still to be found. If anyone has any suggestions then post them asap as it could potentially save a few poor souls!!!

I reckon we should introduce them to Karlbfc for a while, tell them he's a friend. They'll soon F#@k off!!!!

I warned you via PM karlbfc didn't I. Maybe that wasn't such a 'waste of your time' as you put it.
Now maybe you'll listen. Stay in school and learn.

MrP, it's probably not worth repeating. It's gone now - better not to put it up again.

Quite right. In hindsight though, we could have lead him on a bit better. Think of the possibilities, we could have had a Pvt Karl for MFAT!

The solution has already been found my good friend.

I'm perfectly happy with my woman, if you're that unhappy with them, maybe it sounds as though you need to get yourself a man.
