is there any recruits who could give me any info on what i need to swat up on before i get to catterick and when do they basically question you about history and army rolls, plus further medical, i was also going to go in smart suit and tie ,is this appropriate or not also what will i be doing sunday night or is it all 1 big talking session, how soon do i have to do my heaves and 1.5 run again ,

The only thing you can really swat up on is Regimental history, if you know the Battle Honours and the last few recipients of the VC and the circumstances they were awarded for that will be a help to you. They may ask you a few questions on day 1 but they will only be general info and will more than likely just be to see who has any basic knowledge of the Regiment.
You will do hardly anything on the Sunday when you arrive, you'll get an introduction from the platoon staff but it will mostly just be getting everyone sorted in their rooms and getting to know the lads in your section.
If I was you I would turn up in a shirt and tie, most won't, in fact hardly any will more than likely. I did though when I went, as I just think it makes a better impression than turning up in a trackie (especially since I'm a scouser and people think we live in the damn things
).
You'll do a full BFT towards the end of the week, probably Friday most likely, you also do the low part of the trinasium and an introduction to the gym.

well sandy , il be the one with big ears and the raf symbol tattooed on me neck, i know il probarbly be ribbed for it , i had it because my liking for the quadrophenia style, a mod thing in other words ,i.e the jam and the who.
