Yeah that's fine, but you're forgetting that this isn't the military and you are not my superior.

You told me exactly what you thought of my post which is fine, you are entitled to your opinion however you choose to go about expressing it. But you are what you might call 'pot calling the kettle black' in that you are giving your opinion slating me for giving my opinion.

Yes I'm sure I do. Tell me why you would think I would find it necessary to brown nose the mods?

No it isn't the military. It's a place where people go to find out about the military be it the training, be it the lifestyle, be it the people you will meet in the military. If you do join the Corp your going meet quite a few people like me ali hire.

As to your opinion. It was pure speculation on your part and had nothing to do with the thread. Thats it as far as I'm concerned ali hire. Take the hint please.

Leave it please gentlemen. No ones brown nosing anyone. Lets please get back to the thread OK?

Lets please stop this before it gets silly. I'm referring to the 2 of you, Artist and myself.

Artist, I am sorry if my original post offended you or was pointless. Anything more you want to say to me would probably be best put in a PM.

It didnt offend me ali. Sometimes I forget that most of you are still Wannerbies and my rather forthright attitude does and I dare say will in the future offend people. Just put it down to my past as a Bootneck.

Endex chaps. Group Hug!!!! :D

If any one actually is interested, if you listen to the video it clearly says that 'troop 779' is 'one week into training' and they are doing 'seven minute miles'.

Problem solved.

Seems people have missed out on this a page away from where it was posted, so Jarhead:
If you've only just started out running and you're going every day, as you said, then the reason you're getting a mild pain might be due to jumping into it too fast. Going to the doctor isn't stupid at all, it's what they get paid for. You probably need to calm it down a bit (though good work on getting out there). Keeping the swim training going would be a good idea to reduce the impact on your knees (which is a relatively new thing every day you implied) but still get a good workout. Do a search on here for running shoes and you'll find plenty of information about them - if you're going to be running, you'll need a decent pair.

Things must have changed a bit since 779 troop were in training. I was in 927 troop and our first real run was in about week 6. It was a 4 miler and was run at 9 min mile pace. All other phys was either swim sessions or IMFC in the gym- Swedish PT, Ropes, Beam sequence, Camp Circuits and shuttle sprints. Saying that, if your PTI is a running monster you might just be out pounding the pavement far more often than we were. It's been mentioned on here before, but remember that phys is only a small part of day to day training at CTC.

9 minute miles? Are you sure? Bearing in mind speed march pace is 10 min miles. Certainly every run I did in training was aimed at 7 min miles and quicker. And PRMC still requires 3 miles at 7 min mile pace does it not?

Cotton wool troop obviously

Not so sure - personally I'd be put out that those training chaps in the white Ts are just running, instead of helping me out by, I don't know, carrying me. Big strong Royal PTI like that simply trundling alongside without breaking a sweat; just lazy, isn't it.

Well, it's 7mins 30sec miles isn't it, if it's 22mins 30secs.
