Post by halford »

hello,

i am currently about half way through phase 2 of RMR training and just over 2 months away from my commando course.

can any RMR ranks here tell me what phys routines they were doing in the build up for their commando course please?

thanks.

Nice one Halford................nearly there mate !!!

What are your strengths and weaknesses - are you finding anything particularly difficult ?

Just out of interest -

How many recruits are left in your troop ?
How are you finding training ?

alrite staff hows things.

running isnt too bad, im pretty confident i could crack a 9 mile speed march now (not at the end of a training weekend though!) so cardio and cardio endurance isnt a major concern although isnt perfect.

im struggling climbing the rope, i have reached the top with 18 pounds and weapon but not every time and certainly not with the full 21. regains im fine with.

also short burst speed knackers me out good style, so tarzan is worrying me.

im a small framed guy so running has allways come easy to me whereas i have had to work on strength a lot.

any suggestions on the best phys to do? btw, i have now broken up from uni so i basically have nothing to do (aside from day to day admin) other than RMR training so im prepared to set aside hours a day to train and live like a phys monk for the next two months.

the troop stands at mandet: 0 Birdet: 3 Livedet: 11

some fellas are having second thoughts as its not long now till we are supposed to be commando fit but we are trying to get round them and hopefully wont lose any more.

training is goin well i suppose, but everyone is on a bit of a downer as we dont feel fit enough yet. i missed the last weekend through illness (the only one i missed allthrough training) and im feeling a bit shitty about. but hopefully the next one shoudl reinspire people.

btw. have you ever used pro plus on weekends to combat sleep deprivation? if you took it a couple of times in 2 days would it hamper your ability to perform physically i.e. speed march?

are you due to come on any more nod weekends?

thanks for the help.
