lol honestly fella im exactly the same and it isn't the point that you like things neat or tidy , its the point that youve just had 3 hours of phys and swimming , then mad reading , then a lecture on weapons , then drill in the freezing cold and all you want to do is sleep and youv'e got 3 hours of admin to do haah and then on top of that , if it isn't right your going to get a good rollicking , you know what i mean but were all effected differently .

Considering that the admin is a complete bitch would you say that the phys was a highlight?

Also, if you f**k up, is any of your stuff safe (mobile phones etc)?

basically in foundation block which is 2 weeks , you get to call home basically every night for maybe 15 mins . Then once your in your own accomadation you can ring home when ever in your admin time . hope that helps fella.

daily routine for r.t was.Wake up 5.00 sxxx, shower, shave. Clean all room ready for inspection, getting into cs95 rig or perhaps p.t rig depnding on what you got first . go to scran.

7.00 get inspected (usually all your beddings chucked out room by the corporal hahahaha )

7.30 lecture or phys which is your basic camp circuits , then back in gym for room climbs , and gym circuits which you will do in week 9 pass out .

9.00 go back get shower , get in cs 95.

Then upto mid day lectures , maybe shooting range, weapons practice.

Scran midday

Phys was sometimes a highlight but not always welcomed specially when you had rope climbing (thats a bitch)

prmc scores were

Press ups 55
sit ups -70
pull ups - 9
assault course- 3.12
Bleep test level 12.5

on poc you need to be one of the better ones to even get considered for the AIB so aim for at the very leas t my scores.

then perhaps swimming or more p.t but would usually be a lecture on map reading , or weapons.

scran

then clock off , get on with admin , ring people , see mates , go to 9 oclockers

more admin

go to bed

Get waken up at about 2 in the morning , for being a c*** earlier on haha . thats about if fellas.

alrite matey , nothing to do with pull ups your not meant to use your arms , it's all in the legs . its not necceserely about having strength its more about getting the technique right.

Not trying to hijack at all, but ropes are bloody hard even if you are good at pull ups.

First you got to ge the climbing tech right, I found it easy but some other poor guys in my troop couldn't do it to save their life (its harder if you don't use the correct technique.

By the end of doing 4 full climbs you forearms will be !HUGE! and they will also be threaders. If you get sent on a camp circuit straight after the ropes good on ya. You will all be running like cavemen draggin your knuckles because your arms don't work.

If you can find a place with ropes that will let you use them, fill your boots. Find somewhere on the net that shows the correct tech ie knees high, grip with knees push with legs and pull with arms, and practice.

Also when gripping the rope before a climb look up it and don't fiddle your fingers, the amount of people who can't help but FIDDLE THEIR FINGERS then the whole lot of you are doing tuck jumps and make sure you jump to attention and ease at the correct time. You will know what I mean when you get down there.
