Hi there, I'm pretty new to this site but have been reading poasts for quite a while, i've got my PRMC on the 20th of feb and to be honest im bricking it, i applied to join about 3 months ago and that is when i started my training, although i was playing rugby once a week before that. In the first week i was running alot (every day) and got shin splints and i carried on training but less, and they didn't go away so i saw a specialist in december and got orthotics, and rested my legs for 2 weeks, so i've started running again and still have slight pain in my shins but not when running, now on top of my shin splints i have picked up a knee injury, (a realy painfull knee cap when running) so this has left me feeling very un prepaired. just dont know if i should tell my careers officer, or to just see what happens at the prmc? im not totaly unfit as have still been training. just realy dont want to fail! sorry for going on, but oppinions would be appreciated.
thanks alot,
James

Hi mate - just tell your AFCO your not quite ready (injury's extra) and that you'd like to try a later day (in 3 months for example) I'm 99% sure he'll be fine with it - better to go prepared than waste everybodys time
Rest a little and eat well and build up slowly - NEVER RUN THROUGH PAIN I remember a guy on here (DDW!?) had pain in his legs but pushed through his Potential Officers Course and f*cked his legs up with pain and difficulty for 2-3 years later due to tears in the muscle and tiny stress fractures
Anyhow hope that helped

I don't really know what to say here - apart from GOOD LUCK to everyone going to PRMC or POC - remember: people here have been there and come out alive, pass or fail....its YOUR EFFORTS that count!!!
if you've picked up an injury m8 they should delay it untill your ready!
Better to tell them sooner than later!
