Ive sent a few parcels to BFPO.

It's sh1t that Blair took away the "free postage, anytime" system. Why he did that, i don't know.

Anyway, i got told almost EXACTLY what Digitalfreefall wrote.
Haribo, sweets go down really well

This time of year out there is relatively mild so chocolate wont melt.

Porn...essential to man's survival, one can never have too much.

The guys in Camp Bastion are eating good food, so dont worry about that. If they are in one of the combat outposts then they will be on compo.

So if your mate is in somewhere like Kajaki or Now Zad then send him as much food and sachets of gatorade etc as you can. If they are in camp bastion, DVD's, CD's and porn.

Thanks for the posts lads.

Last time I spoke to him was about 1 week before xmas, he said after that phone call he won't be able to email or phone me for about 3 weeks, that time has expired now but it's obvious things will change out there so hopefully he will be back at camp soon and will be able to call me then.

Yea he did tell me what camp life was like and showed me a fair few photos that he took on his camera that he got in Kabul.

He did mention that they were getting sent on missions in Gamsir (SP?) so I hope they are all doing OK, it's pretty shit when ya best mate is out there but he is doing what he loves so i'm happy for him. He knew it would happen eventually.

Anyways, baby wipes, haribos, drinks sachets, dvd's, razz mags and any other sweets and things that genrally are bad for you. haha.

Cheers lads.

Yeah send loads of filth his way mate, even if you have to disguise it in a Max Power mags so he can 'look at the cars' :P

But yeah, in relation to the advice about, send him an email asking him what he'd like!

Finally got a phone call off him today, he's back at camp in one piece but he was there at the "rescue mission" .

He was in the same troop as the RM KIA, he told me the shit really hit the fan that day. Lots more to the story but can't really be posted here.

So I got some good ideas what to send now anyways.

Be safe out there all our RM.

Cheers.

They arn't legal in the UK, but its shipped from china and labelled a novelty pen or something, 1mW and under is legal in the UK, i've got a 80mW one, it burns your skin if you shine it on it for a second so much so u've got to move your hand or what ever away, and at night you can see a very bright green beam for as far as the eye can see, its amazing. i stood on a high hill once with it and shone it onto a road around 19 miles away and the beam hit a road sign 19 miles away (checked on multimap.com) and the whole sign lit up green as it hit it.
