Does anyone know if it is possible to experience the tarzan assault course before you do your PRMC?

You can't experience the actual tarzan course until you're in training. Unless of course you have the space, money and know-how to to build one.

There is a diagram/map of it here though - Tarzan Layout

The RMAD replicates the first day of the PRMC as far as I am aware.

When you say it like that, the assault course must be the "easiest" test there - good points to be earnt and only 5 mins of pain...
I don't really know what to say here - apart from GOOD LUCK to everyone going to PRMC or POC - remember: people here have been there and come out alive, pass or fail....its YOUR EFFORTS that count!!!

the assault course isnt the easiest test mate :o gym test 1 and the 3 miler was the easiest for me. Your moving from the minute you get to bottom field, trust me you'll enjoy but hate the assault course/bottom filed.

You should not put into your head that one or another test is easy, no matter how hard or easy you think it may be, you give your all, all the time.

At PRMC do you do that tank trap, the tunnel submerged in water. I'm not sure if thats what it is called.
Before you insult someone, first walk a mile in their shoes, that way when you insult them, you are a mile away and you have their shoes.

You do the tank trap, and a tunnel, it is not full of water although when i done it, it had an inch or so of water (was pooring down hahaha) and full of little f**king stones (no time to moan about the scraping, just rip through it). For some reason the tunnels looks alot shorter than they actually are (maybe its the corner init) Anyway enough about that, you need some supprises otherwise it will not be fun.

I remember when i went on the army insight course for my schools work experience, when we did the tunnels on the obstacle course the corporal stood at the end of it throwing stones into it, haha, and because it was a slanted tunnel they just slid right down :D

I think you're referring to the now famous tunnel on the advert, the one fully submerged where the young recruit snags his trousers halfway through. The answer is no you don't do this on PRMC, this is part of the endurance course.

The tank trap is basically a trench full of water that you jump across and is the first obstacle on the assault course (which you will do on the PRMC).

Have a look at the Blue Peter PRMC thread that's around at the moment if you want to physically see what most of the assault entails.

Yeh they used to do the Endurance course I think as part of PRMC! :(
And of course the assault course on day 1, and 3 miler on the second day.
