PJFT Speeds

Post by hobbsy »

Whats the best time anyone has for the PJFT (on this forum i mean)?
could you tell me what speed (in km/h) you set the treadmill to? I dont think this has been covered before, i searched for it but only really came up with info on the actual PJFT.
Thanks

When u do your PJFT they will tell you the minimum speed to set is 14.2kph although if you want a decent time go for 15kph or higher. I saw somone got 7.20 cant remember who.

It has been covered many times.

You need to run 14km's an hour to get under 10.44, 15 to get 10, 15.5km's an hour for under 10, 15.5-16km's for the whole time to get 9.25 like I did.

aslong as you can make 14km+ for the whole time you'll pass.

I think Kiloalpha has the fastest time I have ever seen for that distance, marathon speed. We did a 3 miler in foundation and the second half (1.5 miles) was a best effort. I came in second with 8:04 and my mate nick who is a fitness instructor came first at 7:49.

Admittedly we did do a 1.5 mile warm up and had been up at 5am most mornings which would have affected our performances. Anything between 8-10mins for PJFT is a good time.

20 km/h would kill me i think at the moment, might attempt to get that quick, but im probably not build for that kind of speed (not runner's build).
Hopefully get under 9 mins though, thats a good goal i reckon, got a while to get there anyway. Cheers people.

lol, 7:20 thats quick, don't think you need to be this fast but, it will definetly help you in training, as for you hobbsy, if you can run 3 miles in 18:07 i wouldn't be too worried about anything in the running category, the best i did a 3 miler in was about 19:30 and i might not be the best runner but i still get by fine and i passed the prmc with ease, so i don't think that you should have any problems.

either that or he might have left the forum page open when he went away from the computer and his brother or someone found it. Seen someone make that mistake and I jumped at the chance to make a tit of them at their own expense.

having someone call you every name under the sun because you've got them banned from their favourite football forum : priceless.
