criminal record
When i joined the TA first in 10 Para, the officer looked at our various criminal record sheets and said" I see you are qualified for the job, welcome to the paras!"

Few months ago i was standing outside my house just talking to a mate. Next thing i know some silly t**t has just walked across the road and landed the biggest pile of spit on my driveway, turning his head to laugh his arse off
The next thing he knew he was face down his his spit and looking like a right fool infront of his girlfriends.
Later that night i had the police at my door
Lucky the police woman saw the funny side of it!

Got an update on this one guys. The police sent me a letter a few weeks ago, it was a bit weird as it had a telephone statement they had made from my account of the incident, they asked me to sign it. It had weird sentences on it like:
"Although the investigation is now complete, the person(s) responsible may be identified at a later date"
and
"Because the vehicle was moving, I would not be able to positively identify the person(s) involved"
I have tried to contact the officer in charge 3 times now, the last time I called the operator said "the officer is away for a few days". Bascially, I think the cops are trying to get me to sign a form saying yes the investigation is complete and no I would not recognise them, case closed, the cheeky buggers, anyway that is not the real reason of this post, here we go.
Whilst out on a 4 miler tonight, who should I see driving up the opposite side of the road talking on a mobile? The nobber who chucked the rock at me driving the transit he chucked it from, White cab transit pickup, silver aluminium back, . the nobber did not look at me but it was definitely him. It is ironic really, because he drove straight past the police station that was on the same road I was running along. It did make me sought of laugh, the victim, the criminal and the police station (and probably the officer leading the "investigation") all within 200 meters of each other, and not a thing that the police can do.....I guess thats what they call justice!
I guess what the letter meant by investigation complete is that they could not trace the number plate, even though the van probably drives past the police station several times per week!. The seargent on the PRMC said potential recruits cannot get into any trouble before starting RT, I think that even means if I were to be a witness that would still delay my RT, I am not bothered though, I think word has got about that I am not best pleased about the whole affair, and my sister and brother-in-law know most of the locals in the local pub, which explains why I have not seen the transit down my road anymore, the nobber probably wishes he did not cause the trouble in the first place.

This thread makes for some interesting reading. Made me remember one night my mates and I were out for a bit of a walk around when this group of much younger kids (probably about 13-14yrs old) decided to throw rocks and other sh*t at us.
I told them to 'f*ck off' and then they decided to run at us like a freaking battle charge. My mates took off and left me high and dry... well my ex-mates. These little kids, probably about 6-9 of them thought they were hot sh*t if you know what I mean. One of them threw a punch into my face from the side and I didnt see it coming. Gave me a nice bleeding nose, so I warned them not to do it again or i'll start hitting back.
The same guy punched me in the kidney so I let rip with a nice big aggresive yell and took them down a peg or two. I left the scene with a bleeding nose, a sore kidney and a sore shin. 3 of them ran away the rest were crying on the ground.
An old man who witnessed the entire thing had called the police and was describing the events as they unfolded to the police. So when the police turned up they didnt worry about taking me in just wether i wanted to press charges. I did.
moral(s) of the story:
Safety in numbers only works if you stay with the numbers
Dont hit a 6ft 90kg 18yr old when you're 5ft4" and 13yrs old.

Its crazy now how most of the people causing trouble are little kids.
My town's gotten pretty bad recently, loads of trouble all the time witht he local 'gang' being idiots. My mate got assualted, police took statements and nothign come of it even though there were witnesses.
Id love to be able to fight well, I honestly don't think I could defend myself if I got in any trouble. Have to rely on the fact that my mates can mostly all handle themselves pretty well.

Some little sods thought it a Hoot to rip up and trash some of the "In Memoriam" Bench seats that are scattered around Nantwich Church one Sunday afternoon. Not one person made any attempt to stop them. Finally two Community Wardens with as much power of arrest as a battery powered egg whisk arrived on the scene. Took one look at the miscreants and legged it away sharpish. Finally after the getts had long left the scene two over worked Coppers arrived from Crewe to view the remains (Nantwich Cop Shop is only open on weekdays and Saturdays until 1700hrs and then it's only manned by one civvy sat behind a desk and bullet proof glass!!).
The following Wednesday the Nantwich Chronicle had it splashed all over it's front page. Describing it as an act of wanton desecration. To date only one of the buggers has been brought to book though most locals know who the others were. The one brought to book is all of 16 and a known troublemaker who spends most of his time shoplifting and smoking/snorting ought he can get his hands on. And this is a quiet Market Town in South Cheshire!
I've said it previously and I'll say it again. Bring back the birch and lock them up in some stocks for the day so that these obnoxious little getts can be publically humiliated in front of the entire community they live in.

They still do some form of this in parts of asia, where local criminals are paraded in the town centres and there crimes are read out over loudspeaker and the police hold them up for locals to have a pop at, great idea, thats a time when your glad there not big on human rightsArtist wrote: I've said it previously and I'll say it again. HAHA! Loved that one!Artist wrote:Finally two Community Wardens with as much power of arrest as a battery powered egg whisk arrived on the scene.

Its a joke, unfortunately in bedfordshire, that happens all the time! No one gives a flying crap about it because they're scared of what 'could' happen to them if they challenge the maggots that are causing it.
Little b******s need to stay in school or die slow! Makes me sick.
To be honest this has become a fairly popular topic lads, as everyone has their views and experiences with it. Sometimes i wish the fairys would try it with my mates and i - then some proper street justice could be dished out! Growing up in an area wich is full of them has its advantages, in a way im glad ive grown up where i live, its taught me alot about it my whole life and what the causes REALLY are. Not saying that i live in a complete crap hole, because i dont, but where i live has its fair share of it. Its as simple as this - if you dont have good parents in places like these, chances are you'll become one of them! Most of these toe-rags are the way they are because their parents didnt raise them properly, they were dragged up, not brought up. Thats a fact.

I agree AJ. Parenting does have a large bearing on a persons behavioural patterns but I also think it is more to do with the chosen peer group of the individual.
I was fending for myself from the age of 16 and didn't turn out to be one of these idiots because I never chose to hang around with those sorts of people. All I takes it is a small amount of intelligence (something the people we're talking about appear to lack) to see who will be decent, upstanding citizens and who is going to go nowhere fast with their life.
Also, every area has it's good and bad spots and trouble can be found anywhere if you go looking for it, whether it be a large city or a quaint rural village. You can't always help it, as in some of the examples we've read here, but where possible avoidance is always the best option.
It takes a bigger man to ignore stupid comments or abuse and walk away. You may find it extends your life expectancy a well, these days you never know who is carrying what.
