accidents on Selection

Post by ease springs »

Another gem of advice from someone who has done selection and been medic on several, if someone is injured seriously you must help them and get a medevac.
I and several other other selection candidates found one of our course unconscious in a stream, luckily the water was solid ice so he didn't drown.
We flagged down a passing motorist some distance away who, with his family, took the injured man in the back of their landrover to hospital. we took his weapon and handed it in at the next RV
The PSI gave us a time allowance for this, and said if we had left him we would have failed selection
Food for thought
