easy answer, if u wanna check me out ask any question about 21 1971- 73 and as long as it doesnt reveal anything sensitive i will answer, can't get more honest than that.anyway i got nothing to prove, its just another ta unit, why pretend?
if i said i was ex mobile bath unit would u still doubt it?
they also do a vital role
I just came on here to find ex mates, would a walter do that, he'd be sussed in a moment
If i get too much grief i will just piss off, too old for any hassle
Doesn't anyone take peoples word anymore?

As soon as anyone mentions that they have ever been in or a part of anything to do with SAS or any SF, loads of people will automatically assume you are a Walter because - "If you were SAS you would never tell anybody, etc. etc." (load of rubbish).
If I were to ever make it to SF (I don't know what you are and aren't allowed to say) I would want to tell everyone, not in a showing off kind of way or to say, "look at how hard I am", but I would be so proud of myself for passing selection and training.
I wouldn't worry about what people think (I'm sure you don't anyway), you've got nothing to prove to those people.

Aways look on the bright side of life.

Thanks guys!
I'm in Taiwan, Republic of China working in my wife's company. She's Chinese
I don't get why people doubt ex SF , there's thousands of us who were in 22, 21 or 23 over the years
I don't claim to be some killer ninja, i was a medic
I just came here to find old mates, and give idea of what 21 was like in the 70's
Anyway, nice to chat to you

Its just a stigma attatched to the regiment i suppose. Theyre all superhuman ninjas.
A year ago, the brother of a person i know died of heat exhaustion whilst on exercise in oman. He was in 22 SAS and was out a run. He collapsed and died of organ failure around 9 days later. Only a few weeks ago did people start believing what he actually did when it was in the paper that the SAS had carried out an investigation and had found the death to be accidental.
theyre super and theyre human, but sadly theyre not superhuman.

No no, I've never been with 21, might try and get on Black Serpent later, being RAMC myself.ease springs wrote:Hi Spooky, i was in HQ sqdn for a few years.
