Final Interview coming but office life unbarable!

Post by kleky »

Yep, start my training on 6th Dec upon completion of my final interview, but sitting at my PC day-in day-out is getting REALLY uncomfortable. The chair is hurting my back, even after they got me a new one. Im real tall so this one has a bigger base, but the back isn't right :x Complaining wont help as it took 6 months to get this new chair.

I also feel bad for saying i dont suffer from back pain on my app, when i dont unless im sitting on an unsuitable chair for a few hours in one go. I feel like going on sick so I dont hinder my training if i get through, but i have morals. Maybe they pick this up from my doctor too?? :-?

Well, sorry for this probably anoying complaint...its just bothering me.

Does anyone know if the CIS OM trade involves a lot of desk work? I was under the impression it would be very varied.

Muchos thankos people :)

It's a very common pain, back pain!

Unless you have any serious problems e.g. curviture of the spine, osteoparosis etc they don't worry, but what I find helps is a good deep massage  Not cheap, but it works wonders. You can also try an osteopath or chripractor but some people find this sort of treatment too intrusive. Also try some other things at work such as a stand for your monitor?

Cheers, thats good to hear! Perfect excuse now to go to a massage parlour hey :D

About to book me an Osteopath appointment anyway. £35 consultaion and treatment and they seem to work wonders so I let you know how it goes.

Thanks again!
