If you change the compatability settings on the shortcut in XP it helps, you will also need to reduce the resolution.

It works fine for me and I am XP based, the writing can be a little hard to read, but it DOES WORK FINE.

If you need any more help give me a shout.

Your a clown Lodgi - A clown that has obviously never Yomped with a bergan either.

Anyone from the RM (or anywhere in the forces that Yomp/TAB) will tell you that regardless of how fit you are, running with weight is a completely different thing all together. Thats skinny little girlie speaking cnut wouldnt last two mins agains the boys.

As for footballers being a lot fitter than RM, what planet are you on? 90 mins and footballers are knackered and cramping up!!! For Royal, 5 days in the field carrying 80lbs+ of kit, no sleep, running about like a lunatic, section attacks and then a 30 mile extraction over hilly terrain- you think that takes a lesser ability than playing football?

You fckn scrote

And by the way:

That - http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASI ... 80-8790033 is probably the most basic outline of an SF's training program if i've ever seen one.

Fact - It doesn't even come close to the real thing.

(Once again - David Beckham might be quite fit, but hes still a fairy!)

Im not saying David Beckham isnt fit - of course he is, but he gets paid £100k+ per week and does this for a living, with a whole team of fitness advisors, doctors, physio, dieticians etc. Royal get paid pocket change in comparison and are Soldiers first - sportsmen second and have nowhere near the same level of support.

Also look at the RMR blokes - same level of fitness as regular Royal Marines, but with full time jobs, families etc etc - they have to maintain that level of fitness without any encouragement, completely off their own back.

To be honest Lodgi, you’ve just really pissd me off - even trying to compare the fitness levels of the two is bloody stupid. You’re a muppet - end of.

AJ - cheers for the support

Spenny, ill retract my comment about carrying a a bergen, because I have absolutely no idea what it's like. As has been stated, I made that comment 3 years ago when I was 16 and was probably very naive, sorry for any disrespect to any marines and please accept my apology.

But i'll say this, without a bergen beckham can finish the bleep test. Thats level 23. Can you?

No probs mate - apology accepted.

Re the bleep test - I honestly dont know because I havent done one in years. Probably not, but then again I never said I could in the first place.

This reiterates my point - Beckham can get Level 23 because he trains for it and probably does a beep test on a regular basis. I dont!!
....but I can march 30 miles over the worst terrain, in any weather and carrying heavy loads. Id say its a safe bet Beckham cant.

You cant compare two totally different types of fitness and ability.

**Holds up a VERY BIG white flag** Sorry guys, i do apologise and i never intended for an arguement, i just rwad through the thing this morning and thought id post something after someone else did the other day thats all. Thanks Spenny by the way.

Sorry once again. Just wanted to make it clear (and im sure you all know) that a pro football player couldn't compete with a RM when it comes to fitness.
