ITC Catterick 10th September
Allright mate, Im applying for Para and Ive got my 2nd interview tommorrow at my AFCO and then its ADSC, which Im pretty confident of passing, so I cant really give you any advice on how to train or anything after passing and before starting, anyway, to my point, it would be good if you could let me know what its like whn you start down at Catterick so I can prepare myself for it. Cheers mate

Whit are you aw aboot?
I dont know.. think its just how the site ranking works in relation to number of posts.Tugg wrote:Sorry to drag this on, but is that why you are a 'celebrity poster' or whatever it says lol beefSpooky wrote:I wonder why there are not near 4000 posts in the para forum...
Maybe its just because the army lads just get on with it like any good soldier should![]()
Hope you do well at the ITC.

okay mate good luck with your ADSC its piss easy! Remember the run is under 9:18 unless you do extremely well on the static lift! Let us know how you do. Yeah i will try to keep people informed but i doubt i will get much time to come back on here. Regards.

Para's
Hi there
Just past P-coy last week so I can give a few tips.Circuit training(i.e. sit ups, press-ups,squat thrusts etc.) is helpful. A minimum of 4 mile runs at least 3 times a week and some time in the pool is also a good idea with regular 1.5 mile best efforts to gauge yourself. Try for 09:30 or under. Make sure you dont over do it and try remain injury free. Remember that your platoon staff will get you to the required fitness level.Good luck.

Oh - sorta - I was springing a chubby about the Army lads not posting because they are just getting on with it where the wannabee booties are just talking about it - albeit in a tongue in cheek manner.Tugg wrote:Sorry. I must have misunderstood. It seemed like you were having thrills over 'the Army' lads posting lessSpooky wrote:Eh? What gave you that impression..?My bad...i think

If it's that you are after it's better to have an Eton education first and then head of to Sandhurst
