I have found that running on the treadmill actually makes it easier to reach a certain goal.
When I run on the road I'm sure I subconciously slow down if I feel a twinge or discomfort somewhere. On the road I was setting times of around 10mins for 1.5 miles.
On the treadmill however I find it easier. It sets the pace for you, all you have to do is not stop running.
I got on the treadmill yesterday morning, set it at a fast pace and did it in 9.05. I was thinking throughout, "DO NOT stop running, you'll fall off and look like an idiot!"
Aways look on the bright side of life.

It's easier because the treadmill is doing half the work for you, when your on a treadmill you don't use your calf muscles, but on the road you do.My advice to you is not to use treadmills at all and stick to running on the road.

I recently passed my PRMC, and my advice for training is to stop talking about it and just get out there and get on with it.

i would if my toncilitis cleared, which i might add seems to be going but coming back , AGAIN!!!!!
