Dear Deadhead....

Post by Deadhead »

Following your recent sucessful appearance at the Admiralty Interview Board, we are please to inform you that you have been selected for Direct Graduate Entry into the Royal Marines Commandos on an Initial Commission.....blah blah blah.....

I've done it.

I've farking done it!

Cue victory dance and much waving of arms. Plus a hangover of biblical proportions. I feel very good and very bad at the same time
8) . It's still not quite sunk in yet. This is something I've wanted for three years. By the time I got my application in I had no second chances, due to being so old (25). I've finally got the career that I wanted, and can start working out what I'm doing for the next few weeks, other than train.

A massive thank you to all those who have posted threads on press ups, spun dits, and generally helped inspire me to get the chance to go for a green lid. Various people on this forum have been extremely disrespectful/bone headed of late, which just isn't right. This site is one of the main reasons I've made it into YO training. Don't abuse it, or the members who make it as good as it is will leave, and an amazing resource will be ruined.

To everybody waiting for their decision, best of luck. Hopefully I'll meet you in September.

Awesome achievment!

You must feel very special being hand picked for the YO batch.

Very well done to you. It's also an added bonus that your diary's are now from a successful YO candidate.

Excellent news Mr Deadhead,

Best of luck with YO training, and if you ever have a minute (or half a minute) try and let us know how its all going!!

When do you start? Sometime in June/early July?
Enjoy your camp circuits carrying those big blue crash mats.

Once again very well done and good luck with the long road ahead.
