It wasnt too bad, a few sprints, a couple of 20m sprints and a 200m sprint, a few pushups, stretch, run about 200m to the start, wait for everyone to catch up and then started the run. It wasnt a hang out or anything and I found it quite easy (and I cant even run 3 miles :wink: ). Nothing to be afraid of.

How did you fail? Did you pull out on bottom field?

What did they say you have failed bottom field? Or did you just give up?

Gave up, got through a lot of it but just wasnt fit enough and couldnt have gone on for any longer, felt like it lasted longer than the 20mins they said it was going to last. Dont think you can actually fail it, just keep going to the end and you will pass.

Sorry to keep pestering you mate. The three miler, is the whole thing ran as a group? Do you run in trouser and T-shirt or is it just PT kit? Also do you run at a 7 minute mile pace, or do they make you run as fast as possible?
Cheers

Whole run is as a group, fall too far behind and you will get bused, finish the run but have fallen behind the troup (but not far enough to get bused) and you will fail but be allowed to stay for the rest of the course (one bloke fell behind by about 10 secs and failed). I thought It was done fairly slow (even for me!).
Its run in combat trousers, trainers and rugby shirt

It is so annoying all the books and leaflets say different things! Some books say you do half as a group then half on your own, they all say different! Is it quite hilly or is it fairly flat?

awrite this is my 1st post, when i did my prmc in late may the 3 miler was ran as a group at a constant pace no sneeky sprints or anything like that. I think it may depend on the pti or the size of the group, as our group was about 50 strong.

aye,my scores were as follows
pressups = 40
situps = 74
pull ups = 5
bleep test = 13
assualt course = 3.04
The pressups were done right after the bleep test, this is why i struggled with them, with the pullups the bar was really slippy and different from the one i usualy use thats why i only got 5.
The best advise i can give to anyone going down there for prmc is to focus on running and a few weeks before really concentrate on sprints as this helped me with bleep test,bottomfield and gym test 2. There was about 50 on my prmc with only 3 failing and about 10 dropping out.
