Met some guy
I met a guy at paintball and he said he used to or is (can't remember) a SF PT instructer in the army? He looked very fit and he also is currently a Martial Arts Instructor. But thats not the point. I did belive him but is it possible that Army PT instructers take Marines etc for PT lessons? I would have thought they were less fit then Marines.
As far as I understand, SF don't have PTI roles, so it's quite possible that he was a PTI who simply did phys for some SF types. I've heard of plenty of other PTI's who trained all sorts outside of their capbadge or unit.

Of course it is, because that's a bollocks generalisation. Obviously there are going to be some men in the Army who are fitter than most Marines, just not all of themis it possible that Army PT instructers take Marines etc for PT lessons? I would have thought they were less fit then Marines.

I think it depends who your attached to at the time or were your based, ie, if paras are sent to RM Poole to learn helli drills then over the duruatiion of there course they could be took for PT by a marine, One of my tutors at college was a female PTI of the Royal Navy but instructed army and air force troops, All PTI's will undergo the same syllabus and are highly experianced in physical training, dietry needs injury prevention etcetc so....
as for him being SF he might just be your run of the mill PTI that trains the odd Trooper from 'the regiment' thats is attached or staying on his camp...

Can I just say that Special Forces dont use PT instructors and anyone, who tell someone they are working in or with Special forces is obviously full of absolute bullshit. If you think of how many people actually say they no someone who is in or has been in the SAS etc... it would mean there must be thousands of people in the SAS, when officially there are around 400 people in it! And Im sure you no the MOD's policy on special forces secrecy so what SF trooper would actually tell someone who they have never met before that they are in the Special Forces!!
I hope I made my point
