In an attempt to save this thread before it fulfils the prophecy by itself...

The Middle East will continue to be a threat to international security as long as the West has its fingers all over the region, however we’ve played a large part in its current mess and our vital regional interests will continue to be under threat as long as the region is unstable – the dilemma lays with the balance of interests between resource access (vital for western economic hegemony) and security, both in the West and on a systemic level... asymmetric warfare is a f**ker.
Iran can be seen as a threat to Israel, which is a key ally of the West, as we know. If every Tom, Dick and Harry in the region starts getting ideas about going Nuclear then the region will be further destabilised, and Iran will have leverage over regional affairs – to the determent of Israel, the US and the West in general.

Felias – Pakistan have nuclear capability party because the Americans sanctioned it in return for strategic assistance in the Afghanistan war 2002.
