Im not too sure mate, I did it on and off for a while. Then did it for about 5 weeks straight and got eyes tested when applying for Marines and found out I had improved since I was last there (which was about a year before). I would say stay away from computers though and get enough sleep. That will help loads. My eyesight has probably got worse since I starteed using comptuers again.... :( But I know I can change it back with the exercises.

Where about in Scotland are you from?

i'll give the exercise's ago from now until i do medical for the marines see if there's some improvement. Probably have something like a whole month of training, so enough time to notice progress. :)

i seen awhile back in the paper that there are new contact lense's, which will improve short sightedness. You wear the contacts whilst you're a sleep and apparently they tighten the muscles that makes you're eye focus. I'm going to the optician on friday to get my eye's examined, i'll ask her about the new lense's on how well they work and costs, plus if the exercises above can actually work!

i'll get back to ya on friday!
Well just got back from the optician. found out that my sight is -2.25 in the right eye and -2.00 in the left, should be ok for the medical.

I asked her about the exercise's she just said those exercise's work for young children not adult. its just theory that it works on adults, not proven yet and on the new contact lense's, she's aware of them there very new and they do improve you're vision only for people with short sightedness. however she said there not available at optical express branches yet and the costs are unknown!

I managed to improve my eyesight with them, but it does take time. I think the exercises do work alot better when your younger. I dont do the exercises mentioned on here. I got a pack with eye chart etc.. and gives you an eye exercise programme!!

Have a Good Xmas all,

Do you need to wear these new contacts every night i.e for an indefinate amount of time or just for a certain period? I heard of them ages ago and I think they actually alter the shape your eyeball... could be wrong on that one though.
My brother just had his eyes corrected with laser surgery, not cheap but very pleased with the results :)

thing is the forces, last time i checked, dont look kindly on having corrective treatment. impaired night vision and blurryness are possible side effects after a while which will obviously hinder you. www

To be honest m8. i know as much as you know on how they improve you're eye sight. all i do know is that you wear them at night whlst asleep and remove them in the morning. they tighten the muscle in the eye that focus you're sight and will improve or correct short sightness completely back to 20/20 over a period of time.

you're best bet is to phone opticians on the new contacts. i ask mine and she was only aware of them. i'm pretty sure that others will probably know alot more than her.
