AFCO phoned me this morning, RT is now the 30th of january for me . Im really annoyed at myself for not trying to book the 16th earlier. All the lads from my PRMC are probably on that date. Another 2 weeks of being bored.
Yes drill sergeant!!!. Of course i will be working my arse off Its just that i will have to wait another 2 weeks and thats annoying, especially when i have 10 weeks to wait at the momement, not including the weeks since my October PRMC.
got to admit im well chuffed i applied as soon as possible,i would have been pi**ed if i choose a later date, and training couldnt be better, them guys at the running club are disgustingly fit...
dalo mate, if you want something interesting to do or at least some variation on your phys why not pop down to RMR Aberdeen at Gordon Barracks, just past the Bridge of Don... the PSI is a nice bloke i'm sure if you explained your situation you may well be able to join in on some PT or the like... just a thought
Yeh might do mate, my AFCO told me that alot of guys from my PRMC who were going for the 16th might be in my RT troop just because in all of the PRMC's around that time most of the people were going for that date. At the moment i have a solid running routine from athletics but for upper body im just doing press ups etc everyday or so and doing them thorughout the day. So i will definetly ask if i can join in on some sessions. By the way im going to a meet the marines day on Saturday and you get to fire 20 rounds on the LSW, 10 of them are on full auto
The good news I've been given the 16th as an entry date, the bad news I've busted up my back so probably won't be able to start RT then
Went down to the AFCO this morning & they were quite understanding about it, they just want me to get it sorted and begin RT when I'm fully recovered which I hope won't take that long.
