How To Be really strong and not sacrifice fitness levels
I agree with the above comments.. At the end of the day keeping the mind in check is probably the hardest thing about it all. I done P-coy back in 98 and I was one of the smaller lads , it used to make my day wipin the floor with all the 'muscle' lads who were dropping out because of this n that excuse! yep youve gotta WANT it! otherwise your on a loser

If your having problems with press ups, try this, it really does work, when i was a labourer i found that i was shovelling sand pretty much all day every day and you know what i got really good at shovelling sand, it was like the shovel and sand weighed nothing and i could do it really quick after 3 months, anyway, started uni and didnt have time to go to the gym plus it was full of posers and grunters ...so instead of shovelling sand i decided to do press ups and sit ups, every day when ever i could and wrote them down, i did them in the toilet, in the lounge, in the halls, at work, in the pub 6 here, 12 there etc etc, i would aim for 100 a day for 1 month then 150 the next, now i do 1000 of each 5 days a week and to me press ups are like walking, second nature
I should say that when i shovelled sand i didnt count reps or keep struggling if i was hot and sweaty, i just had a breather and a puff and pant and continued and the same for the push ups, if i got shakey i stopped and had another crack in an hour.
I guess the more you do something the better at it you get, like babies, they dont have the strength and balance to walk at first but they keep at it, every chance, at first it takes all their strength but as they do it day in and day out it becomes easier.

the whole 1000 push ups a day thing has been used for years by people like rocky marciano, herschel walker, reggie jackson, Charles Bronson (british), Woody Strode, Charles atlas and these guys were strong as hell so it must work, and none of them lifeted weights.
