All I ask is for equality across the board.

In that case:

I want to start my own STRAIGHT PRIDE festival where my single friends get to dress in their uniforms and exhibit Public Displays of Affection with members of the opposite sex.

I want to form The Armed Forces Heterosexual Association.

I want to be able to run and broadcast on National terrestial TV the MOWOs (Music Of White Origin) awards.

I want to run and have broadcast on National radio, Saxon Radio-music for the white population.

etc etc etc

All I ask is EQUALITY for all.

Regards

ss

PS I am serious, I am fed up with the All Pigs are Equal, but some are more equal than others, routine.

This is not an equal society - unlike Animal Farm. So the pigs in here fight for every space at the trough :P

Don't get me wrong here I have no problem with gays, but I think it's a bit dangerous allowing them into the military. Let's say two gay guys get deployed into the same company, and start to form some kind of relationship. Could this not have a seriously detrimental effect on someones judgement?

No more detrimental than having males and females serving in the same unit or on the same ship. Remember now that once the 'warfighting' phase is over RA, RLC Pioneers and other mixed gender units are often deployed in infantry roles in peacekeeping, and the chances of fornication in those units is exponentially more than the chance of a pair of homos getting frisky with each other.

Gays in the army? I'm not arsed, if they want to practice bum banditry then so be it, as long as it's kept behind closed doors (the same with any hetro relationships). Being the ugly bastard I am I know I'm not going to be unwillingly giving away any brown wings, and I find the suggestion that they might try getting it on in a fire trench laughable. Besides, no homo with any sense is going to pop smoke by telling anyone and certainly wouldn't try it on with anyone else.

However, I do find the idea of showing up at a gay rights parade pretty outrageous and far too PC for my liking.

The RA and RHA are the only front line units that have women. The Infantry, RAC, RE(RE may have women officers) Pioneers are still male only units. Of course theres women at these units but there attached ie clerks, chefs, LAD etc.

I know of a TA Chunky Squadron that was mobilised as a whole unit for Telic 2/3 in the force protection role that included women.
Maybe there aren't any women serving with the regular equivilant units but it's allowed according to the blurb on the army careers site
http://www.army.mod.uk/careers/engineer ... oneer.html

Same with RE, women aren't prohibited from joining as other ranks, there just aren't any of them.
Inf and RAC are the only Corps which still ban women (and a good thing too).

[idiocy]
On a slight tangent, but keeping with the "political correctness" theme, is there ever going to be a time when the military will have to meet disabled employee quotas? If equal opportunity nutjobs have anything to do with it...
Wheelchair ramps leading around obstacle courses? Guide dogs for the blind flightcrews of the RAF?

The only way a blind Paratrooper is going to suss out that they have hit the deck is when the Dog lead goes Slack!

We laugh now but give it time and the Handicaped will be joining up. All HM Ships will have to be Wheelchair Friendly. Paraplegics will be issued jet propelled wheel chairs and Stephen Hawking will be the first Major General in the Army.

God help the Armed forces if we ever go up against a really good enemy if this lunacy carries on to it's conclusion. Blokes will be issued Excused Pnumatic Tyre chits given time.

Well i am not going to gay's should be in the Army, because i don't belive that. But i DO think they shouldn't be in the Infantry, too much distrust from straight people for it to work.

I am not homophobic by any means. I only spent 3 nights out in the 'Villlage' last weekend and got pissed out of my face and had a great time. A gay person aint just automatically going to fancy you like people think, it don't go like that. I never had a problem, in fact it was the women i had a problem with, there's loads of straight ones
