Im hoping that someone here has experienced this too and has a solution :oops: :oops:

Recently during strenuous runs, i develop something that i can only describe as a sore ass due to my butt cheeks getting sweaty and rubbing together (i guess thats what causes it) - thing is - its really, really painfull - its not so bad during the runs, but when i stop for the next 4-5 hours im walking like bloody john wayne in stilts. I know its not a BIG issue, but its just plain annoying - so, does anyone have any suggestions to help get rid of this? :oops: :oops:

Best cure is to let is breath, failing that a barrier cream of some sort like Savlon or Drapolene/Sodocream should help.

Try washing more and shaving your ass, as it could be knotted hair that is causing the chafeage, if that’s what the problem is :lol:

You could try slapping some Vaseline down there, but I’m not sure how comfortable you are with a lube so close to your ass, it may also be hard to explain if caught applying said lube.

I had a similar problem with my thighs when playing rugby, I ended up wearing lycra's (cycling shorts) and it solved the problem straight away.

Ive suffered from the same probelm in the past. :oops: I found that a nice warm bath helps. Try to avoid bikes too if you can for a while.

yeh, a few of my buddies had that problem... tub of vas int he bergen is a must... got some good blackmail pictures from it as well...

Sounds like dhobi rash to me.

Try altering your dhobi powder and the other things already mentioned. I wouldnt shave your arse as the friction after could cause ingrowing hairs and more problems. But a good trim could be helpful. If you have a rash then try some hydrocortisone cream from the chemist and apply twice daily, then come off it slowly (not the tube the cream :o :lol: ) as you lower the dose the body ups its production of cortisone and the rash will stay away.

If it is friction from phys and your abit lardy then it will ease as your arse shrinks. If your a racing snake then do you have runners sphincter when you run? Do you feel the need to shit after a few mins running? If so shit, because clenching, without even knowing could be causing the problem.

Check your washing powder, shower gel, have regular baths with TCP, run with unclenched cheeks try the lycra shorts but wash them after each run, or................................go swimming!

Try running "Al Frecso" The problem will be that you may get locked up mind and that could result in an even sorer arse!!! :D

As said the Owd Vasaline is the best option. Or that Norwegian stuff the Fishermen use to keep their hands nice n soft. neutgenna or summut like it.

Mr Mojo Risin, ITCHY RING :roll: You say its because of "strenuous runs", What the TROTT'S :roll:

I get it a lot through out the summer as do a lot of Sportsmen, oops, sorry PC Correct, SPORTS PEOPLE nothing to be embarrassed about. Use "LANACANE" Best on the Market it will put a HALT to the dreaded in minutes.

A while ago I suffered from a bout of the plops and ended up suffering from a "Sore Grumper" owing to over wiping with issue sandpaper.

Cue outstanding ss plan. I had previously been given some Adidas anti-rub stuff to stop chafing when tabbing, this worked superbly. The potion consisted of a thick type of Vaseline mixed in with Tea-Tree oil.

PLAN: apply copious amounts of said Adidas wonder potion directly onto sore chocolate tea-towel holder.

Not too bad I thought as the lubricating effects of the Vaseline went to work. After a couple more episodes involving issue sandpaper and re-application of potion the pain began, and kept beginning until I couldn't stand, sit or lay down. I endured this for 36 hours then wrapped and went to see the Doc.

He laughed when I told him about my plan and informed me that Tea-Tree oil is an astringent and when applied to delicate tissue such as the Crimper will cause all sorts of trouble. When applied to a Nipsy that has been rubbed red raw then the pain level to be expected would be equivalent to that which could reasonably be expected to drop 40 Cdo, 3 Para, the combined strength of 21 and 23 SAS and C Coy 4 Postal & Courier Regt.

My dot was in a terrible state and from an area of skin approximately the size of a saucer was extruding some sort of fluid. Oh how the medico laughed as he told me to bend and prepare myself. He squeezed on a tube of Lignocaine. Oh how he laughed again as the cold gel hit the gateway to my forbidden zone and I hit the roof.

The moral of this story is to never, ever interfere with the wrong'un cos it is intrinsically wrong!!
