Well, hello again to you all. Apologies to Wholley and Sticky Blue, I only saw your comments today when it struck that I hadn't said thank you for anyones advice.

So a big thanks to all who offered ideas and helpful info. Cliodna that chiropractor was legendary. He woke me up 30 minutes after our session ended; I'd returned to my car and promptly fallen asleep, taking up his only free car parking space

I thought all this chiropractor/acupuncture stuff was for hippies, but this really did the trick.

Well, I can run now for sustained periods of time. I've left road running behind for the challenge of running up my local hill. The decision merely clarified that yes there is something wrong in my head

Whilst I still run with all the style and finesse of a mong, my times are tumbling, and I've combined running with bits and pieces of circuit training. I was in hospital for three months last year, went in at 11st and was 15st by the time I was given the all clear in January of this year. Since then, mainly with the help of my new ability to exercise hard, I've shed it down to just over 12st (strange thing is I lost it but it appears my Mrs' thighs have found it  ). Through nothing more than hard work, as I still eat rather badly.

So as you can see that small first trip to the chiropractor really has turned my life back around to how it was before I became ill. I am now somewhere near the outgoing have-a-go guy I knew 15 months ago.

So thank you.

I know a lot of young guys come through asking the same questions about PRMC and I imagine failing or not heading your advice. Whilst this is not really the same ballpark (too much financial commitments to even think about that route, bloody mortgage), console yourself with the fact that your help and comments, in whatever way can and do help others. I just hope that when they do, like in my case, people let you know there is still a place for the 'old and bold'

Once again, cheers Image

The reason for this is whenever I run, I quickly (withing a half mile-mile)
Hi Chris

Do you stretch/warm up before a run? How long for?

Sounds like you might be going too hard too soon!

I've had problems with lower back and used to go to an osteo. I now go to a sports (sweedish) massage and that seems to be the best thing.... clicks might be where the cartidge is going into place (like when you click your finger jonits) it might also be something more serious

I'd get it checked out, what's the point in leaving it!

Good luck 8)
