Although it might look as is every second squaddie is covered in tats most nowadays don't tend to have unit tats as they are not as popular as they used to be and can prevent employment within certain areas!
Modern tribals, celtic and such are much more popular these days!

Both Bootneck and I answered this question a while back.
Think about twenty years down the road.
The ink has faded and your a civvie looking for employment.
Tat's will close some doors for you.
Our SO is fairly liberal on the Tat's question BUT!!
our summer uniforms are short sleeved and I'm constantly asked by some stupid druggie Iv'e just arrested"Cool Tat's man,you really a cop"?
My answer is generally"Shut the f@#k up and mind yer head"
So,My advise,DON'T.

Each to there own I reckon. Never had tats myself, but as Whooley said later on in life they can cause nause.

My mate is covered in them, was a Para but now he's spending a fortune having them removed. So think long and hard about it.
